How to Set Up a Proxy in the Google Chrome Browser with Windows Operating System

Setting up a Proxy in the Google Chrome web browser using the Windows operating system.

 

1) Open Google Chrome - menu - settings - advanced settings and in the Network section Clicked Change Proxy settings.

2) Click on LAN Settings.

3) Uncheck Automatically detect settings and then under Proxy server enter the IP address and Port as laid out in your account credentials at the top of your set up e-mail.

 

 

 

4)Press OK and then OK again to come out of the LAN settings.
5)Open a new tab in Chrome and entered the URL for the website you want to visit. Authentication box appears.

 

 

6)Enter your username and password as ststed in your account credentials at the top of your set up e-mail.

 

 

 

 

7)Click Login.

8)This takes you to your desired website ( we have used the BBC iPlayer in this instance) and a drop down menu of Chrome asking you if you want to save the password, press yes or no whichever you want.

 

 

 

9)Choose the video you want and play and that's it.
